VICTORIA GOLD CEM is an improved Waterproof Cement Paint, specially formulated for better brushability, easy mixing and application, longer pot life and extra covering capacity. VICTORIA GOLD CEM the best protective cement paint coat against VICTORIA EOLD moisture, salinity and decay causing bacteria. VICTORIA GOLD CEM for better utility - more saving.

Special Features - It is based on white Portland cement and additives that enhance ease of application and water repellency. It contains pigments that are resistant to heat & light. It requires addition of water only in one stage. Mixing is thus much easier. VICTORIA GOLD CEM provides a durable, waterproof surface. Repels rain on external surfaces and prevents penetration of damp. Forms a hard surface which gets harder with time. It gives the twin advantages of greater coverage and lesser labour cost because of its superior brushability. It has longer pot life compared to other cement paints. More quantity of paint can be mixed at a time when applied and cured according to instructions, it will not flake or peel off it is an excellent reflector of heat and light in lighter shades being waterproof and washable minimises harbouring of germs.

Surface Preparation

Any faults in the structure, particularly those which may lead to moisture penetration must be rectified. All surfaces must be sound, clean and suitably dry. This is particularly important where new building is concerned. On new surfaces, the suction of absorbent backings should be controlled by wetting down Concrete bricks with clean water. Remove loose dust or dirt, lichen, algae or any organic growth by use of a stiff brush. Clinker and other light weight concrete blocks Wash and clean the surface with water and allow it to dry. All cracks, voids and minor damages should Decorative cement products be patched/repaired prior to application of VICTORIA GOLD CEM. Thick paste of VICTORIA GOLD CEM Concrete precast units can also be used for such repairs. The following surfaces need special preparation.

Method of Application:

Curing should be done between 6 to 8 hours after application, depending on the climatic conditions. VICTORIA GOLD CEM application should be wetted from bottom to top with a fine water spray. Do not use saline water for curing surfaces painted with VICTORIA GOLD CEM.

Coverage:

Varies according to porosity and texture of the surface. When mixed to normal consistency, approximate covering capacity of Victoria Gold Cem for two coat brush application on different surfaces is as follows :

Surface sq.mt./kg
Rough cast & pebbledash 1.10-1.75
Concrete blocks 1.76-3.00
Suitable brickwork 1.81-3.20
Rendering-cement/sand 2.20-3.20
In-situ concrete 3.20-4.05
Wall and fibre boards 2.75-4.50

Packing

Available in 20 kg and 25 kg laminated synthetic sacks.

Important Precautions:

VICTORIA GOLD CEM is not recommended for external application to common bricks unless these bricks are dry at the time of application and design of the structure affords maximum protection from moisture penetration. VICTORIA GOLD CEM cannot be applied directly on surfaces containing gypsum plaster, chunam, lime washes, oil paint, varnishes,, oil bound distemper or emulsion paints. On chunam and lime wash surfaces, VICTORIA GOLD CEM can be applied after completely removing chunam / lime by wire brush and washing it down with water and then applying a coat of Cement Primer. On cement primed surface no prewetting is required for the first coat application of VICTORIA GOLD CEM. However, normal curing after first and second coat should be followed. It is therefore not advisable to use any water proofing chemical as base coat, additive or top coat. Also, use of lime wash, white cement or any cement paint other than VICTORIA GOLD CEM as base coat is not recommended. Inter-mixing of shades is also not recommended. New plaster should be minimum 8 weeks old, properly cured, dry and well set before application of VICTORIA GOLD CEM.
